Alan joined Frost Investment Advisors, LLC in 2019 and has over 30 years of investment experience.
Alan’s primary responsibility is the Frost Midcap Strategy where he manages stock selection, sector allocation and portfolio construction. He also serves as chairman of Frost Investment Advisors equity strategy and research committee.
Of his 30 years of experience, 25 years include senior leadership roles for global financial leaders including chief investment officer for First Interstate Bank of California, First Union Bank and Wells Fargo Offshore Trust Company. Separately, Alan served as chief investment strategist for Wells Fargo’s Private Client Group and was an executive vice president of Wells Fargo Bank.
Prior to joining the Adviser, he was the senior managing director with Angeles Investment Advisors, a highly regarded institutional OCIO (outsources chief investment officer) firm, serving fiduciary investors globally. Alan joined Angeles from the investment boutique Cinque Partners LLC, a registered investment advisor specializing in hedged equity strategies, where he was a co-founder, managing partner and chief investment officer.
Alan is dedicated to community service leadership. He is on the board of directors for Heart of Los Angeles which serves at risk youth in central Los Angeles. He is also on the board of visitors for the University Of California Los Angeles David Geffen School Of Medicine and serves on the content committee for Journal of Investment Management Conference Programs. He is a former member of the board of directors of Jewish Vocational Services of Los Angeles.
Alan earned a bachelor of science degree from The Watt School of Public Administration at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
