Frost Donates $2 Million to Pandemic Relief

The CARES Act
On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) was approved and signed into law. The CARES Act has several key provisions that include the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), stimulus payments, changes to Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRAs) and new retirement loan minimums. Paycheck Protection Program for Small Businesses
The CARES Act, creates a new program to bridge payroll expenses through June 30, 2020. The Paycheck Protection Program will be administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA), and Frost will participate in this program. The intent of the program is to provide loans to businesses impacted by the challenging economic environment. Due to the amount of processing required, Frost is offering PPP loans only to customers with business checking accounts as of April 1, 2020.

The Frost Digital Deposits business day doesn't end until 9 p.m., so you have a longer window to deposit your checks, giving you quicker access to your money. Automated Clearing House (ACH) service from Frost is a dependable collection system, with the speed and efficiency you are looking for.

This service enables you to gain control over which checks are paid and which are held for review, identify unauthorized transactions and access valid check information with our online portal, updated every 30 minutes.
ACH Blocking with Review – Frost's ACH Fraud Prevention Services protect your financial assets by adding protection between your accounts and unauthorized ACH debits, credits, or both. Frost's ACH Fraud Prevention Services lets you monitor and control all incoming ACH transactions, reducing ACH fraud risk. ACH Blocking with Review automatically blocks or filters all incoming ACH credits, debits or both, depending on your service option.

Frost’s Merchant Services partner, First Data, is dedicated to helping small businesses. If your business operations have been interrupted or impacted by the pandemic, call the First Data hotline at (844) 882-2438.
How to Open a Business Checking Account

What you need to open a business checking account:
- Your company's tax ID number (or your Social Security number if sole proprietorship)
- Each account signer's name and personal information (government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license, state ID or U.S. Military ID, Social Security number, and address and job title)
- Minimum $50 opening deposit
- Your business entity documents. As of May 7, all beneficial owners of legal entity customers must also provide:
- Legal name
- Physical address
- Date of birth
- Copy of a government-issued ID (driver’s license or passport)
- Social Security Number for U.S. citizens (passport IDs are also accepted)
You may also need:
- State certificate filings
- Entity meeting minutes authorizing signers
- Documentation may vary depending on you type of business

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has included the entire state of Texas in its Economic Injury Disaster Declaration and granted access to its Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program, which will provide long-term, low-interest loans, to qualifying businesses across the state. If you believe your small business may be eligible for an SBA EIDL, please visit SBA’s website to learn more and directly apply for assistance. The online application is the fastest method to receive a decision about loan eligibility.
